Fractional Skin Resurfacing and rejuvenation can be performed in 2 modes, ablative and non-ablative depending on the patients treatment expectations and skin goals. Fotonas fractional resurfacing is a 3 step treatment with deep dermal heating, removing old skin with micro-ablated channels, and then following with a light peel that removes superficial imperfections on the skin.
This effective treatment will not only improve the appearance of deep scars, facial texture and fine lines, but will add a beautiful plump to the skin as the cells are healing and regenerating quickly. Skin resurfacing is non invasive and very little downtime.
Treatment Intervals:
every 4 weeks on the face and 8 weeks on the body
Does it hurt?
There should be no pain during treatment as a topical numbing agent will be applied prior for patient comfort.
Is there any downtime?
Your healing time will depend upon your actual treatment depth, and you may experience erythema (redness) which may last a few days- one week. Healing time does vary among individuals. The redness and swelling will subside in a few hours after treatment, and will result in a pinkish glow, that resolves over time. You will need to avoid direct sun exposure and use an SPF when outdoors.
How do I know if I’m a candidate?
The best candidate for a Microlaser Peel would be someone who is concerned about skin elasticity, superficial texture, scarring, sun spots, and creating an overall lifted, and youthful looking appearance.
What areas can be treated?
All skin areas can be treated, the mist popular being the face, neck, chest and hands.
